Hello, Goodbye

Finals are over! Yay! Now I can blog again!

Or I could, if I wasn't leaving for Europe in less than 12 hours. First Rome, then Paris, then London, then New York, then back home on the 28th. So...um...Happy Holidays! See you all in two weeks!

Current thing I'm doing to avoid studying:

Looking for some superglue to affix* two pieces of a Sharpie™ lid back together.

Coming soon: seeing which swear words are recognized by my phone's predictive text function.

*note: the word "affix" was used only because having two instances of "glue" so close to one another looked weird. The other option was:
Looking for some cyanoacrylate* to glue two pieces of a Sharpie™ lid back together.

You see where this is going. I think I'm going Study Crazy.

P.S. I’m patenting the term "study crazy." Let it be known it was on Montgomery Road first.

Attorney at Law Awesome-ness

I'd like to announce that Legal Counsel just won her first trial! And I don't mean she just got her first win (although that is true). Oh no, my friends. I'm saying that her very first trial just ended and she got a win! A double guilty DUI! (driving impaired and driving over .08) Against a private defense attorney! With a borderline BAC value! And an excellent expert witness for the defense!

She hit a home run! She drove it in for a touchdown! She scored a goal! She hit the 3-pointer! She did...whatever good thing cricket players do! She rules!

That is all.
Just wanted to brag.
Back to studying.

Support your local blogger

I know I haven't been blogging much lately, but I promise that'll change if anybody buys me the First Official Item on The Montgomery Non-Denominational Winter Celebration Gift List: The Scallywag Sloop Pirate Themed Club House! Here it is, in all its majesty:

For the low low price of $18,499.99 my pirate dreams will come true with all the following features:
  • Oversize 5' x 6' custom "Pirate" themed Club House
  • 8' x 6' Galleon Style Pirate Bow
  • Oversize Log
  • Right Side Swing
  • Fireman's Pole
  • Cedar Log Bow Support Beam (bow support cannon is optional)
  • Ship's Wheel
  • Ship's Mast w/Crow's Nest on Roof (not accessible)
  • Dimensions: 18’ W x 10’ D x 20’ H

Of course, I've already got an oversize log but I suppose a backup wouldn't hurt. Well, it won't hurt me at least. And the fireman's pole seems a little out of place...unless they're pirate firemen (two of my fantasies rolled up into one delicious package). But I love fireman poles (you can quote me out of context on that) so bring it on.

Now all I need is a rebar-enforced concrete slab as a base, a crane or forkilft to build it and, I suppose, a house with a backyard to put it.
